12 days Uganda safari

12 days Uganda safari brings you close to the things that make Uganda tick as a safari destination in the world. You will travel west, south, and central to see the different contrast of the country.

Days 1 – 4 Arrival – Entebbe – Kibale Forest

Arriving in Uganda at Entebbe international airport, where you’ll take an internal flight to Kasese. Once landed you’ll be taken to Ndali Lodge, where you’ll be able to relax after your travels, swim in an inviting pool, and soak up the beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Now it’s time to start your adventure in the ‘Cradle of the Nile’.
You’re staying in the Bunyaruguru Crater region of Western Uganda – home to a fabulous display of wildlife, flora, and fauna. You’ll track chimpanzees hunting through their natural habitat, as well as colobus monkeys and Sitatunga antelope in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Keen bird watchers can expect a range of species, including the impressive great blue turaco and rare papyrus gonoleks, whilst visits to local community projects will appeal to just about everyone.
Stay Three nights in a twin/double room at Ndali Lodge.

Days 5 – 7 Queen Elizabeth National Park

From the outstanding Kibale Forest area, you’ll be taken cross-country through the African landscape to an eco-lodge perched high above the Kyambura Gorge, giving magnificent views over the Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Rwenzori Mountains. You’ll take boat trips along the Kazinga Channel to see the wildlife that basks on the banks or comes down to drink.
You’ll track chimps in the Kalinzu, with an experienced guide and embark on community walks to meet local people. And you’ll set off on early morning and afternoon game drives to photograph pride of lions, leopards, and great herds of Ugandan kob.
Stay Three nights in a double room at Kyambura Gorge Lodge.

Days 8 – 10 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today you set off into gorilla country as your safari takes you into the primeval Bwindi Forest. And along the way, you’ll be able to see tree-climbing lions and appreciate magnificent countryside – some of it making for rugged traveling! Your accommodation is comfortable though; you’ll be staying in the only luxury lodge in Bwindi National Park, with uninterrupted views of the towering forest and impressive river.
Naturally, meeting gorillas in the wild is the main reason for visiting Bwindi – and an encounter with a silverback is indeed a thrilling experience – but the park has other attractions too. The birdlife is wonderful and the flora of the forest equally fascinating. You’ll also have the chance to meet the local community, as well trekking through dense forest in search of the gentle giants.
Stay Three nights in a double room at Bwindi Lodge.
