Out on the wild African plains, female lions stalk and take down speedy ungulates as they feed on tasty grasses, prides nap in the shade and cubs play under the watchful eye of their mothers as males fight for the crown and territory.

Lion Safari Uganda Africa 
 World over its not common practice for lions to climb trees as the second biggest cats. However, lions in Uganda's Queen Elizabeth national parks, Ishasha sector for several years have taken up the practice of climbing trees.
Day 1 Travel by road to Kidepo valley national park via Gulu, Kitgum.

Starting the 10 days Lion safari Uganda Africa, From Kampala at 5:00 am you start the long journey 558 km (347 miles) going through the Rhino sanctuary to see the southern white rhinoceros. Have breakfast at the Kabalega dinner restaurant on the way to Gulu where you will have lunch. After lunch in Gulu, we continue through Kitgum and up to Kidepo valley national park. Check into your accommodation based on the budget that you opt for. The lodges are not very far from each other, they are in a radius of 24 km (15 miles). Dinner will be served from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and then you retire early to bed or stay up for a few drinks if you partake.

Day 2 full day game drive searching for Lions
We start at 6:00 am with a cup of coffee and carrying with you packed breakfast, you will be headed for the open Savannah in search of the game which includes five Primate Species, predators are particularly well represented with 22 species resident of these, the black-backed jackal, African hunting dog, bat-eared fox, striped hyena, aardwolf, cheetah, and caracal are found in no other Ugandan national park. Other predators recorded are a side-stripped jackal, spotted hyena, leopard, lion and a variety of mustelids, genets, mongooses and small cats. A remarkable 17 species of antelopes occur is this national park. 7 of these are found nowhere else in Uganda: namely Grant’s gazelle, greater kudu, lesser kudu, roan antelope, Beira oryx, Guenther’s dik-dik and mountain reed-buck. These are among the species we will be seeing while we focus on searching for lions.
We return for lunch at the lodge and at 3:00 pm we head back for another game drive return in the evening at around 6:30 pm.

Day 3 Morning walking safari and afternoon/night game drive.
7:00 am you will head out on a walking safari before the heat of the day is upon us. You will return for breakfast, rest and have lunch. 3:00 pm we head back out for another game drive into an early night game drive which we stop at 8:00 pm, returning for dinner at the lodge and overnight.

Day 4 10 days Lion safari Uganda Africa move to Murchison falls national park

At 6:00 am we have our breakfast before departing for Murchison falls national park which is 407 km (253 miles). Our lunch will be had in Gulu town before we continue to Anaka, and then to Murchison falls national park.
Arrival will be around 4:00 pm, heading straight to your overnight accommodation for a cold drink stroll around the lodge to release the stress of long sitting in the vehicle.
Dinner and overnight

Day 5 Full morning game drive and afternoon boat ride
Game drive starts at 6:00 am with breakfast before we go lion searching in Murchison falls national park. The lion here is not very easy to see although the park has got a healthy 106 lions within an area covering 3,843sqkm. We will try to search for the lions both in the morning and in the night hopeful we get a chance to spot them.
Return to your lodge for lunch from 11:00 am by the time you get to the lodge it will be 12:00 pm in time for lunch. After lunch, you travel to the Paraa area (meaning a place of hippopotamus in Luo language) for a boat safari on the Victoria Nile.
Your boat safari will give you a chance to see the iconic Murchison Falls with its raw power as well as seeing several animals and birds.

  Day 6 Lazy morning and night game drive
The morning is given to resting for clients to enjoy the lodge, personal time, swimming.
After dinner, we prepare for departure to enjoy a night game drive with chances of spotting leopards, hyenas, lions.
After we head back to the lodge for overnight.

Day 7 Queen Elizabeth national park 3 nights

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Today we shall be departing for Queen Elizabeth national park, we start the day at 5:00 am, breakfast at 5:30 am with packed lunch. We will drive south towards the Rwenzori mountains from Murchison falls national park 400 km (248 miles).
We will stop in Fort portal for a break and have a late lunch before we continue for another 2 hours to your overnight accommodation.

Day 8 Lion safari Uganda, Africa game drive
6:00 am we go to the park gate to make payment for lion tracking, from this point on we will be with a tracker from the Lion Project in Uganda. He uses a radio tracker receiver to pinpoint the location of the lions that we are to see. Often the lions are off track which requires driving off road to reach the lions of Queen Elizabeth national park. When and if the lions are found, you get to spend 20 – 40 minutes observing them before you go and tracker another pack.
There is a total of 95 mammals recorded in this park the highest of any national park in Uganda. Ten primates including chimpanzee, vervet, blue, L’Hoest’s monkey, black-and-white colobus, and olive baboon. Close to 20 predators are found in the Queen Elizabeth national park, including side-striped jackal, spotted hyena, lion, and leopard. The most common antelope species is the Uganda Kob, bushbuck, Defassa waterbuck, topi. The elusive semi-aquatic sitatunga antelope occurs in papyrus swamps to the north around Lake George, while four duiker species are primarily confined to the Maramagambo Forest.
12:30 pm will find us at the Mweya safari lodge on the Mweya peninsular where you will have a filling lunch and gaze at the extensive Kazinga Channel. Here you will take a 2 hours boat safari to see the several animal species including the hippopotamus. It is believed that the Kazinga channel hosts the highest concentration of hippopotamus in the world.
We head for another game drive before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9-morning travel south Ishasha for tree-climbing lions
We take a 96 km game drive south to the Ishasha sector where tree-climbing lions are found. In Africa, you can only find tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and Tanzania’s Lake Manyara. While searching for tree-climbing lions we take a game drive to see other animals.
We spend a night in the Ishasha sector tonight.

Day 10 Optional Morning game drive and travel back to Entebbe for departure.
We have breakfast and start on the drive back to Entebbe Airport for departure back home.

4. Full payment has to be made not less than 30 days before the departing date of the tour.
5. If the full amount is not paid in due time, Steady Safaris Ltd reserves the right to treat the booking as canceled.
6. Cancellations: 60 days prior to the departure date of the tour, a full refund of deposit; between 60 and 30 days, a refund of 50% of deposit; less than 30 days, no refund.
