Day 1: From Kampala to the Wild – Ziwa Rhinos & Arrival at Murchison Falls

We begin your 3-day Murchison Falls safari with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe, passing lush landscapes and vibrant roadside towns. After about three hours, we arrive at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary—the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.

Here, under the watchful eye of expert rangers, you'll track white rhinos on foot. This intimate encounter allows you to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Along the way, keep an eye out for bushbucks, warthogs, and beautiful bird species.

Following lunch in Masindi, we continue to Murchison Falls National Park, where towering giraffes and playful baboons often greet us along the way. The drive through the park reveals sweeping vistas and the first glimpses of Uganda’s untamed wilderness.

We drive to Murchison Falls, where you take a hike to the top of the falls. This short trek leads you to a dramatic viewpoint directly above the roaring falls.
