Day 1: Kampala – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park

After roughly 2.5 hours, we arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda’s only place to see rhinos in the wild. Here, enjoy a 2-hour guided rhino tracking experience on foot, accompanied by expert rangers. It’s a thrilling and safe walk into rhino territory.
Continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, reaching by mid-afternoon. After checking into your lodge and enjoying lunch, we drive to the Top of the Falls. Standing just meters away from where the Nile crashes through a narrow gorge before plunging 45 meters below is simply awe-inspiring. Mist kisses your skin while rainbows dance in the sunlight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Safari – Hike to the Top of the Falls
Rise early to a steaming cup of coffee or tea and set off for your morning game drive across the savannah plains of the Buligi area. The golden hours are prime time for viewing lions, leopards, herds of buffalo, towers of giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, bushbucks, warthogs, and perhaps a lone shoebill.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Victoria Nile. 🦓 Safari Journal: Day 2 – Lions, Hippos & Rainbows
It was 6:30 AM. The sky glowed amber as we entered the Buligi game track. Suddenly, our guide whispered, “Lions.” We paused. There, across the tall grass, two lionesses crept behind a herd of unsuspecting Uganda kobs. Our cameras clicked. The air was electric.
Later that day, the boat cruise delivered a different kind of magic. Crocodiles lounged lazily in the sun, while pods of hippos grunted nearby. The falls thundered ahead, and a rainbow curved above it. I finally understood why they call this park "Uganda’s crown jewel."
